The Sanctuary

Staying at Baha Mar in Nassau, Bahamas has been an amazing experience for our family. Although we love it all, by far Gianna’s favorite thing is our (almost) daily visits to the The Sanctuary. They offer many experiences for both kids and adults to get close, pet, feed and even snorkel with turtles, nurse sharks, sting rays, birds and all kinds of sea creatures native to the Bahamas.

Her favorite are the koi & starfish as you can see from the photos.

Baha Mar is making huge efforts to protect and preserve the local wildlife and while doing it, showing guests the wonderful things The Bahamas has to offer.  Although Gianna is still too young at two years old, kids ages three and older can enjoy the Explorer’s Club with knowledgable counselors who teach them about sea life, Bahamian culture, history and exploration.
